Who is likely to start for USC at QB?

I still insist that Mustain is mediocre.
good question

Corp seemed to have won the backup job coming out of camp last fall, but then Mustain got more snaps in garbage time during the year.
Corp is a year younger, right?
Corp is a year younger -- i.e., the same year as Clausen

They played against each other in the 2006 state championship game for their division at Home Depot Center. Clausen did not have a particularly good game while Carp looked OK. Clausen's team (Oaks Christian HS) won, but I think it went to OT or almost did. At that time, Mustain was a freshman at Arkansas.
By the time they play us, Barkley.

I think they'll start with Corp, but nither him or Mustain have shown much so far, and I don't think they will. I think SC is due for a down year. I think they lose 2 games this year.
The importance of the QB.

SC this coming season is a great example of that fact.
They literally have twice as many Top 50/Top 100 players on their roster than any other team in the country. Even Florida.
But the odds of them competing for the NC shrink dramatically due to their inexperience at QB. Darn.
That being said they'll still be kick ass.
Agreed.

They're going to see a lot of eight man fronts. If they can get one of their QB's to be mediocre he'll have a decent season and they'll win 10-11.
They also have their toughest schedule in years
by Sherman Oaks, California, Thursday, February 19, 2009, 08:24 (6082 days ago) @ Bingo
They have road games at Ohio State, Cal, Oregon, ASU and ND. The OSU game is September 12, so they might be particularly ripe for a loss -- perhaps even Carroll's worst-ever loss at USC (ND holds the current record, 27-16). They do have a bye week right before they come to ND, but then again so do we. If ND can't be competitive against USC this year, we never will be again under Weis.
There is no excuse for us not to be competitive with SC.

None.
Anyone they have will be mediocre.

However, the talent surrounding them will not be. That is still the main concern.
I think Mustain will start, though.
My guess is Aaron Corp

Aaron Corp is the clubhouse leader

from what I gather. I wouldn't be surprised if Barkley is the guy by season's end.
I know I've "Rainman-ed" this stat before...

but true underclassmen have started exactly 0 games at QB for Carroll in his eight years at USC.
That aside, it boggles the mind how Aaron "Howdy Doody lookin' motherf*cker" Corp is a decent QB.
