How does this get around the limits on winter practices?

I'm sure it's not a violation because I doubt Meyer would be so stupid to have it done in a public setting if it was but I'm just wondering how exactly. anyone?

Tim Tebow shoulder update
By Ben Volin | Monday, February 16, 2009, 09:52 AM

Tim Tebow is not wearing a sling on his surgically repaired right shoulder. He is working diligently with quarterbacks coach Scott Loeffler on his throwing motion, and Tebow said Sunday at the Daytona 500 that his shoulder is "doing good. Just healing up, trying to get better."

But Tebow doesn't want to say publicly if he will participate in spring practice, which begins March 25.

"I don't know exactly. We'll see," he said.

From the looks of his workouts, Tebow could play this weekend if he wanted to.

I ran into Tebow and Loeffler last week at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. The stadium is open to the public, and about 15 fans got a private showing of Tebow's 90-minute workout with Loeffler.

I didn't get a chance to speak with either person that day, but it was obvious what they were working on - Tebow's throwing mechanics.

Tebow has a tendency to dip his hands when he cocks his arm to pass, and Loeffler is trying to teach him to bring the ball straight back to his ear. The mechanic flaw is one reason NFL scouts - namely Mel Kiper - don't think Tebow can be an NFL quarterback.

Tebow stood on the 5-yard line at the right hashmark and took snaps from under an imaginary center - an important distinction, for you NFL scouts out there. And Tebow threw 7-yard out pass after 7-yard out pass to the left sideline, across the width of the field. He threw so many that my shoulder started hurting just watching him.

The accuracy and velocity were excellent. And Tebow had no problem moving his shoulder when catching return passes from his coach.

Tebow still has plenty of work to do on his throwing mechanics, but it's only February.

Tebow and Loeffler are doing "as much as we can, but can't do too much right now. Just rehabbing," Tebow said.

Meanwhile, add Dolphins coach Tony Sparano to the group of coaches who likes Tebow's game.

"The guy throws the ball well, he runs it pretty well," Sparano said Sunday, where he also was a featured guest at the Daytona 500. "I like what he does with the football, when you see a guy doing those things."

If it's one-on-one and not mandatory.....

It may not be a practice. For some reason, I think there is an exception for individual workouts.

Why don't we have 65 coaches on the payroll then?

I actually think there's a coaching limit but I'm going to assume then that every player has a scheduled workout with a coach every day of the week.

Is that true?
