And if we have a good year on the field...
our recruiting should be off the charts this year, and the overall talent level would be on par with ANY program. God, it would be so satisfying if Charlie gets this thing figured out.
No. Always watch Tenuta's.
You know the rules.
hehehehehehe
If the changes work out well, and that attitude spreads
through our team...man, we're going to be good for a long time. The "nasty" football team we were promised may finally happen.
The tone of the staff seems to be changing
I loved the Alford video.
With Alford, Randy Hart, Tenuta----it is more of a "kick ass" attitude, and I like it.
Nothing against Mike Haywood, but sometimes a staff just needs an infusion of something---and I think guys like Alford bring it.
I am anxious to see Hart.

"I'm going to talk to those recruits as I would talk to my own son. What are you looking for, and does this fit with what you want? Does this fit with the goals you have set forth? Does Notre Dame fit?
I am not afraid to tell a young guy that this is how it's going to be: that we're going to push you academically, we're going to push you to do the right thing socially, we're going to push you to be the best you can be, and we're not going to cut corners. And if that doesn't fit for you, then you don't need to come here."
if you watch one video from today, make it Alford's
Guy's a stud. Love the enthusiasm. Asked about recruiting:
"I took the job on a Monday. Got here at 10:30 am. On a flight at 6 to go to Los Angeles. Then all the way to Newark to see Theo.
It's fun to recruit. It's gonna be a different experience recruiting with an ND on your shirt than it has at other places. There's instantaneous respect when you walk in and say, 'I'm with Notre Dame.' People are going to take notice and listen. And that's because of the history of the program, the academic status, everything involved, people are going to take notice. You still have to grind and do the work and sell your program, but that part is fun."
