"No more heavyweights"

I'm sure I'm overparsing, but I interprete this largely throwaway sentence that the "No more heavyweights" mantra left ND with Kevin White. Am I way off?

"All this is very preliminary. Who knows where it goes at this point? ... This just came about. Army doesn't have to be the team we play. We may play somebody else. I don't think anybody has the faintest idea whether this comes to fruition. Notre Dame, Army, USC or Texas."

is that the only directional school being mentioned as a candidate for future schedules is Southern California (although South Florida might come to South Bend in 2011 or so).
