Let me start by saying that I know absolutely nothing about technique for an offensive line, but for the last couple of years, it seems like our offensive line has been diving at the feet of defenders. I am assuming they were executing cut blocks, but more often than not, it seemed as if the result of the block was our lineman on the ground being side-stepped by a D-lineman on his way to the QB.

In looking at some of the pictures that WLO took of the BG game (http://wloneill.smugmug.com), it seemed that the line was pretty much vertical most of the time, engaging the defensive line. This feels like a good sign to me.

Are there any experts on O-line play out there that can set me straight on what is going on (if anything)?
