The new "Brady Rule" got me thinking about rules in the NFL that don't exist in the NCAA, so I'm thinking about doing a post on the topic. Any favorite NFL rules that don't exist in the NCAA or vice versa?

Clock Rules
Clock stops on a first down in college - does not stop in NFL.
No two minute warning in college.
Pass Interference.
15 yard penalty in college. Spot foul in NFL.
Halftime is much shorter in the NFL - I believe it's only 12 minutes.
College halftime has actually been lengthened

It used to be 20 minutes, now it's 22. NFL halftime is 12 minutes now, except of course for the Super Bowl.
The overtime rules are obviously very different. Also, the NFL hasn't adopted the quirky college rule allowing for a safety when a PAT attempt is run back to the other end zone. That rule was adopted in 1988, and I was at the first game when it was actually used -- Rice scored a safety off a blocked PAT on ND's last touchdown in the November 1988 game, changing the final score from 55-9 to 54-11.
Are college kickoffs still from the 35 yard line? In the NFL, they're from the 30. When I was a kid, they were from the 40 in both.
Other differences have disappeared. The NFL used to have goal posts on the goal line, from the 1930s until 1974. College goal posts always have been at the back of the end zone. College adopted the 2-point conversion in 1958; the NFL waited until 1994, although the AFL had it throughout the 1960s.
I believe college football had 4 time outs per half until 1970 or so, possibly a function of most games not being televised back then. I don't know if the NFL had a similar rule.

Michigan Sucks
In the Pros...
Detroit Sucks
Completely different!
I remember asking about this once and at this point I can't really remember what the differences were. Are things like the Tuck Rule, Helping the Runner, and the "you can now let the ball touch the ground on a catch because you couldnt before and we fucked over that one guy from the falcons" exist in both leagues?
How about spearing and that obscure rule where you can't jump up and land on someone from your team? Are those rules in both?
Is the horse collar called in both?
The horse collar and "jumping" rules are in both

The horse collar rule is new to both.
I don't know about spearing.
Just heard they made a rule about onside kicks...

limiting the number of players on the left and right of the ball to start the kick.

There are also the clock differences, notably the two minute warning.
I think the NFL is more particular about uniform numbers, but I could be wrong about that.
On the flip side, the NCAA will flag just about any display of personal celebration. (*cough* Sergio Brown face wipe *cough*)
