That's a HELL NO from me

First, just on principle, which I shouldn't have to explain. It's not baseball, it's batting practice.

But from a practical standpoint, it's grossly unfair, overfavoring power-hitting teams, and takes pitching completely out of the game.

Case in point: the Blue Jays are in first place in the AL East by 2 games right now. Their leading home run hitter is George Springer with 16 home runs at the break. Say they're playing the Yankees. That's the guy you want to put up against Aaron Freaking Judge??

I don't care about it an All-Star game - it's sure better than a tie - but it should never EVER be used in a game that counts.

I hate the ghost runner (aka the Manfred Man), but it's still actual baseball.
