Wife and I binged two seasons of Joe Swanberg’s series shot in Chicago.

Really enjoyed it. Highly recommended.

Is it better than S1?

by ndbk32 @, Los Angeles, Wednesday, January 03, 2018, 14:32 @ Spesh

I thought it was decent, not great. Just a little too "Duplassy" for me.

Took it up a notch

It's by no means amazing but I enjoyed the stories. The best episodes of season 2 are generally stronger than the best of season 1.

slice of life in Chicago - Swanberg style

by Spesh ⌂ @, Los Angeles, Wednesday, January 03, 2018, 17:29 @ Jay

Eight episodes each season following a bunch of different interconnected characters. Each couple gets a 30 minute episode. Covers relationships, kids, etc.

I think season 2 is stronger across the board than season 1, but a lot to like in season 1.

Have you seen these yet?

Fairly light fare, but plenty of interesting stories about the toys a number of us had as kids.
