How’s the Clemson game rubbing you?

I don’t know about him, but I’m enjoying the hell out of it

I absolutely despise Miami and their utterly obnoxious fans.

It is nice to watch them struggle.

Of course given the curb stomping, it’s also another reminder of how far away ND is.

Curious if USC is thinking that same thing.

I think so. We cost them a spot in the playoffs.

I guess the question is

Are they really that far away, though? Sure we cost them a spot in the playoffs, but as mentioned below this college football thing can be a very finicky animal.

They are ranked 8 in the final CFP rankings and now face Ohio St. to determine their bowl fate. A win there would suggest that USC is in the conversation for as at least a top 5 program. So I guess I do't understand how far away they are (or what they are far from?)? Is it competing? Is it playoff qualification? Is it as a top caliber team or program?

Every single program in college football this year except Central Florida has some wart they can't shake.

I think USC is pretty far away.

Helton has done a nice job rebounding after blowouts the last two years running. But they are soft and light years away from the tough, aggressive, super talented guys of the PC era.

I suppose there's hope with Helton because he's only in Year 2. I have a pretty good idea of where we are with Kelly, and that's pretty far away from the top of the game.

No, it’s a reminder that Rosier had a great game that night

and he sucked against Pitt and Clemson.

That same night Auburn clobbered Georgia. Tonight Georgia clobbered Auburn. We lost to Georgia by a point.

We beat USC just as badly as Miami beat us. USC hasn’t lost since.

Clemson is looking every bit the #1 team in the country. Yet they lost to Syracuse.

It’s college football.

Very succinct summary.

It's been a topsy turvy season, and it ain't over yet.
