One of his best running gags.

We can't afford to play both of them in the same year.
Not when September has become the only month we can reliably bring serious juice to the schedules. And adding a really crappy Wisconsin to the '26 slate (thanks to pandemic rejiggering) doesn't help. B1G fans will be clowning us for our schedule when we're just playing the same shitty teams they get pats on the back for waging war against all goddamn fall.
Real Mascots of the Big Ten
Loved the Boilermaker Pete + Sparty forbidden love subplot. More graphic than I expected.
I’d rather watch Love Island starring Purdoo Pete

I'm more them fine with them sprinkled in.
Both in the same year is kinda junky at this point.
Same as BC, Pitt & Cuse in the same year.

I wouldn’t say excited
But Purdue and MSU (and probably Pitt and BC) always feel familiar and comfortable on ND’s schedule, like a bowl of soup at Cracker Barrel. We’re always going to have room for these staples.
A place where running the ball 71 times a game is the way.

Where do people get excited online to see Purdue/MSU?
I’d like to avoid those forums.
It's exactly how Pete should be leveraging
the freedom ND has relative to others on scheduling. Pit these fuckers against one another -- rivals, conferences, whatever. You don't want to play us? Fine, we'll find someone else who does by the end of the day and make you look bad in the process.
They need to disappear somebody from that '27 slate.
It's just terrible. All opponents (save the recent additions) are similarly worthy of being bounced, at any cost.
We currently have 12 games scheduled in '27 and 11 in '28
Maybe this is in anticipation of Texas nixing the '28-'29 series, so you might assume it could slide into that spot in 2028.
But for 2027 it's pretty tricky. We currently have 5 ACC games, plus @ Stanford, which I believe is outside of the ACC agreement (but if not, maybe the VT or GT games slide a year... would the ACC work with us on that?). Obviously can't move the Clemson game, since it's the first of our 12-year agreement. I don't think you want to move the game against Wake since they secured an NFL stadium.
Can't lose Auburn. We signed BYU specifically to stick it to USC, so that needs to stay. Navy is its own thing. We already publicly committed to the Kent State game and publicized it as a tribute to Holtz, but maybe you could kick that down the road a year or two without anyone getting upset? I know Purdue and MSU don't get people here excited, but we signed contracts.

So last week the UT AD called the ND games "tentative"
on their future schedule.
One week later ND leaks a Tech series that increases TT state visibility and makes UT recruiting harder.
I doubt UT saw a ND/Tech game in their outcomes.
If true
This is the type of public shaming we've all been jonesing for these long months. Would be great if the Athletic Department had the balls to start doing that.
South Carolina. The real USC.

Almost Guarantee this was leaked by ND...
...and almost 100% guarantee that they leaked USC as another potential opponent, knowing they wouldn't do it, so ND could drag them even more for not wanting to schedule ND.
Exactly

Well there's no way its USC, right?

Texas Tech series on the way?
