The thing about Jared Verse
Speaking as a Bears fan, he would be THE prize of the offseason and would be substantially better than anyone on our d-line.
Browns were not going to get it together in time for Garrett to be a part of it. Getting a #1 AND one of the best young OLB/edges in the league is an absolute coup.
Garrett is a multiple time DPOY and surefire hall of famer, but Verse is a DROY, pro bowler in both of his 2 seasons, 5 years younger and frankly could also be a Hall of Fame type edge.
This is such a ballsy trade from both teams. I can't believe the Rams were willing to include Verse in the deal, and as soon as I saw it I knew that there was no universe where the Bears could have matched that offer.
