Love it. I have even tried making it at home a few times.
Mine isn't bad, but I can't get the carmilization right. It's either underdone, or so burnt I can't get it out of the pan.
It is super cool. Did you like?

I love Pequods. Wearing their T now. Morton Grove is cool.
And they have plenty of good shit other than deep dish, but their deep dish is the best. IMHO.
I’m with you. Overrated.
Give me a 40-year-cast-iron-pan job with the sauce on top like Gino’s East or Due.
Or the retro Chicago Cut cornmeal that is Barnaby’s. Sadly, they won’t take my Mug Ckub card these days but it was the best deal in South Bend.
It's the feature not a bug.

It's an above-ground marinara swimming pool...

It is an uncovered topic, for sure.

has this ever been said about Chicago Pizza?

Too bready.
The caramelized cheese is good; if only there were more of it.
I prefer the "giant blob of cheese slathered in sauce" version of deep-dish (Chicago's, Giordano's) over the super bready Pequod's, if I am honest. I know it is sacrilege.
All that said, NY/NJ/CT thin crust is far superior anyway.
They've been doing that for a while. Save your money. It
doesn't hold up at all during that process.
I'm as big a Pequod's fan as anyone here. But with that particular situation, you're way better off with fresh Malnatti's or Giordano's.
Pequod's is different.
It's Chicago Style, but it's the zenith of the style. I'd eat it 3 times this week were I in that ABnB.

Sometimes I rhyme slow sometimes I rhyme quick.
I thought the Lincoln Park location was the original Pequods
When I was in Chicago in February, my “Chicago Cousins” took me to the true original in Morton Grove.
I just noticed this on Instagram
But they have been doing suburban pick ups. They choose one different suburb each day in June. Lake Zurich tomorrow night.
LOL that's why I posted it!
Also, going to the Music Box to catch a movie this week.
pequod's perma-post
Staying in a VRBO across from Pequod's Pizza in Lincoln Park
for ten days visiting our son and I don't care what your opinion of deep dish pizza is but smelling that every evening has been amazing. We haven't eaten there yet but definitely will. Going to Little Goat Diner tonight.
Been going through the old posts on Chicago so hope to check out a bunch of the other recommended spots as well.
