OT - Its really gotta suck to be Julian Assange right now
Perhaps more than anyone Assange is responsible for Trump winning in 2016. Four years later as Trump leaves office he's decided not to pardon Assange.
Gonna be interesting to watch how this plays out now. Julian is now basically at the mercy of Merrick Garland & US Intelligence. His only leverage now is in selling out everyone in Trumpworld who was even tangentially involved in the laundering of stolen emails.
As for Snowden? Assange at least had some GOP factional support for a pardon for his work in "exposing" Hillary. Snowden? There was never any base of GOP support for him within the GOP. The only thing that giving a pardon to Snowden would accomplish is uniting the intel community with Democrats and Republicans.
