The Big 12 runner-up will have at least two losses and will not realistically be in play. If Georgia is the SEC runner-up they'd have two losses and would likely be behind Alabama. So really an SEC runner-up LSU or either Big Ten loser (assuming that was their only loss) would be the only runners-up with a clearly better resume.

BUT - and this is a major point here - Bama still has a very big problem in that their schedule sucks this year. With Auburn as their only ranked win, I have a hard time seeing them take a spot away from another conference champion.
