Pelosi has a thing where they don't hold hearings on active investigations, hence why Mueller is showing up next week and not in the middle of his investigation. My assumption is that Cummings' staff started inquiring about Acosta and were told by the Feds to back off because Epstein was still under investigation.
I also would not be shocked if Acosta resigned by Friday.
