a lot of fucked-up shit.

Obviously I am not endorsing or excusing war crimes (assuming any were committed) but shouldn't there a limit on how much gruesome and grotesque shit a soldier should have to see and do? At least unless and until the bad guys are at our door step?

I assume there is a good chance the "powers that be" (all the way up and from all political angles) sometimes look the other way because there are not many humans out there who can and will do this (even the legal stuff)?

I don't know what the answer is, get the fuck out?, but this guy is a pawn no matter what he did or did not do.

No matter, Trump and the 40 Congressmen are fucking this all up by "pre-pardoning" him.

But articles that start out like this one https://www.nytimes.com/2019/04/23/us/navy-seals-crimes-of-war.html do not help the situation either.

Let the trial occur but maybe Chief Gallagher is not the only one who should be tried.
