The Le Leche League pisses me off almost as much as Trump.
In my office, we refer to them as the breast feeding Nazis.
I frequently find myself in the uncomfortable situation of having to try to convince a new mom that she needs to supplement her breast milk with formula, because her baby is losing weight. And almost invariably, I find that if the mother is unwilling to do that, it is because she is being made to feel guilty/worthless/inadequate by the Le Leache League crazies.
However, breast feeding should be supported up to the point where it becomes unhealthy for either the mother or the baby to try to continue.
And breast milk is certainly far superior to giving the baby formula made in some third world country by mixing powder with potentially contaminated water.
