Im not sure I believe all of it

I do think that the gentrification of some of the elementary schools is probably skewing the number somewhat. For instance they had the chart at the bottom showing net gain of various districts where OPRF showed slightly less than a 55 year gain over 5 years while neighboring North Berwyn schools were showing almost six. I would guess most of this outperformance was as a result of inflows into the district.

Regardless, something is going right at CPS. I had this discussion at Thanksgiving with some of my siblings who were very down on Illinois and Chicago. I think everyone gets caught up in the headlines and they miss what is going on right in front of them. Chicago is booming right now.
