Question about recruiting for the experts here
Amidst the general handwringing about our D, the recruiting rankings on O vs D seem to suggest we do better on O. The posters at recruiting sites often cite this as evidence that BK doesn't value D, or say that BVG doesn't recruit, etc.
I question this assumption about lack of commitment, especially with Elston serving as Recruiting Coordinator. In my experience, humans don't act against their own self-interest.
And in terms of being high profile and attractive to recruits, there havent been many more nationally high profile D players in recent NCAA history than Manti and Jaylon.
My question is about our academic restrictions. Anyone know the rough % of top 200 ranked recruits most years that we can't touch due to admissions? And is that % higher among D players?
I'm wondering if this is an overlooked factor.
