That exact same justification could have been used last week when "Notre Dame is solidly in". Despite OSU losing, an Iowa squeaking by Purdue, OU squeaking by TCU somehow put us outside ?

Lobbying is obviously what moved the needle for various members. That's not shenanigans that's human nature.
