UCLA immediately improved when he arrived.
They immediately went to that 8-5/9-4 zone where you're pretty good but could go either way. He's recruited at a high level so the assumption was that they would make the jump to an elite team.
This was quite obviously the year they would have to do it and they've failed miserably, so I think the shine is off. If he sticks around in college, he's going to be yet another 8-4, 9-3 type of guy.
