They have no woodwinds in their marching band,
which probably accounts for a big chunk of the gender disparity, relative to the ND band. At ND, when I was in the band, the brass and percussion sections were probably 75%-ish male. Piccolos were virtually 100% female. Clarinets about 70%. Saxes were probably 50-50.
