If we're talking about "capital-T" Tradition, I think the swim test and freshman PE fit.

Of course, I am still pissed that I was stuck with a swimteam douche as the person evaluating my test. I did the required two laps in each front and back stroke, but he failed me because "my form could use work". Meanwhile, my friends passed with one of the grizzled old instructors after only having to do 1/4 of the test.
