As four-year participants in Mendoza's program...
...I suspect that they are as representative of the effectiveness of the system as anyone else would be.
And as mq noted below, bench press numbers in no way tell the whole story w/r/t S&C.
maybe those two aren't physically
deficient and there isn't a physical 'issue' with either one.
Wish they'd do clean and jerks. Seriously.
I know they probably don't due to potential for injury, but it would seem like the best "football movement" exercise overall, particularly if the goal is to get a sense of explosive strength. The BP usually just seems like a silly thing to me because (prep for brag) as an experiment, after I saw what Quinn could do, I tried training up for it myself for 2 months and managed 20 (I could maybe do 3 right now). No way could I ever train up in a few months to do what most of these guys could do with a clean and jerk.

Agree, although BP might not exactly be the issue.
I would be interested to see how those two rated in squats or some similar exercise.
with that number
and Sullivan's competence with the Vikings, I think Olsen's got a shot to be drafted.
And color me surprised: Young and Olsen were in T10.
Young was tenth with 29 reps, Olsen was 3rd with 35.
