with that kind of schedule.

although they play MSU instead of Maryland.
To me, Wisconsin and Nebraska (along with Kansas State) are the poster children for scheduling their way to a seemingly good season. Kind of interesting that they ended up with such easy crossover games.
I know they are on a rotation, and in theory they will eventually have to face the tough teams in the East. But I wouldn't be surprised if the Big Ten threw that rotation out the window and started over when they go to nine games.
And there's Exhibit B.

to join the Big Ten.
There's Michigan. Then Ohio State. And then everybody else is a twelfth-class citizen. And the new teams are going to be treated like 37th-class citizens.
And that schedule pales in comparison to what we would endure as a conference slate. If there are to be 9 conference games, then it would simply be us playing at Michigan, OSU, and Wisconsin three times each.
Welcome to the Big Ten Rutgers!

As your welcoming prize, we are going to schedule you against our entire top tier.
As consolation, we will give you Maryland to end your season.

But get back to us at the [s]Herbalife[/s] B1G conference HQ when you've convinced three new schools to join the conference underneath you, and we'll consider checking your thetan level once again.
They have 15 months to get ready.

They better put an FCS team into that Aug. 30th spot and then hope & pray to somehow be 4-1 or (kidding here) 5-0 before Michigan comes to town.
Then they can try to beat IU and/or Maryland to become bowl eligible.

Howard who?
Howard Schnellenberger?
Howard Stern?
Ryan Howard?
Howard the Duck?
Regardless, a full team against 1 dude doesn't seem fair.

I mean, that TBA is going to be a dogshit game, guaranteed. Then you have Howard, which, umm, didn't realize Howard played football. Then you have Tulane in the mix. Navy wouldn't be bad, but as an anchor for the OOC schedule strikes me as kind of weak.
So basically, the argument would go, well Rutgers is in a "tough" division, so their OOC doesn't matter. Which, of course, is bullshit.
The real argument is
by CK08, Thursday, May 16, 2013, 13:04 (4772 days ago) @ Chris (HCC)
that Rutgers is clearly designing their schedule for an end-of-season showdown with Maryland for the right to go to the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl in front of millions of invisible fans, both in person and on Big Ten Network.

Howard football is actually kind of a cool D.C. thing. I know their homecoming games are a decent deal.
