I don't think you'll be disappointed.
It's legitimately outstanding, IMO. Certainly a lighter touch than previous releases, but the melodies are gorgeous and the choruses are durable enough to carry around with you for the day after only a couple of listens. The sound is also more traditional on the whole and now largely devoid of the Afro-pop influences that dominated the first record. Though an effective hook at the time, the perceived kitch factor also limited VW to some degree as artists over the long haul. In any case, it's extremely well-crafted, well-paced, well-sequenced; I think it's the best album I've heard so far this year. Chef recommends.
